> ROME

Rome is a city where at least ones in your live you must have been. Literally you are stumbling over the antiquity on the corner of every street; that is a great feeling.

Rome: old and new in one
The special thing about Rome is, is that modern and history are mixing throughout the whole city very smoothly. Like you are facing the colosseum, while behind your back a hip winebar is opening its doors. Litterly you walk over stones from the sixth century before Christ, while carrying bags full of designer clothing. In Rome, this is absolutely a normal thing.

Stylishly dressed in Rome
Just as in the most large cities in Europe, the locals are just a bit different than the rest of the country. In general, the modern Romans are very proud about Rome, they dress themselves very good and enjoy life intensely. It is good shopping in Rome (also for payable amounts) in for instance the small streets around the Spanish stairs. A good kept secret is the beautiful terrace at the top the stairs to the left. Enjoying a glass of wine in the sun, overlooking the many people on the square, and enjoy as one of the locals.

Cruisin' Rome on two wheels
Rome is a lovely city to explore walking. But when you will experience Rome on the bicycle or scooter, you experience the city quite differently. Rent a bicycle or a scooter and cross through the city. Like this you are able to travel in only one day from the traditional St. Peter square to the trendy district Trastevere, through to Villa Borghese and back again. Freedom is with you!

The very first pizzeria in Rome
You have to wait for a while outside, but that is a thing that the Romans except as well, so don't worry, that is part of the deal. Once your name is being anounced, the real fun starts: eating in the oldest pizzeria of Rome. It is delightfully simpel, paper tablecloths and very nice waiters, for a change. The pizzas are great, and for a carafe of house wine, you'll have the feeling it is almost for free. It is clear that pizzeria Dons Ricci (Via Genova 32, Rome) ever since it opened in 1905, always is a busy place.
